Dr. Melvina Woode Owusu

Senior Research Fellow & Programme Manager

Melvina has a background in medical anthropology and epidemiology and is passionate about reducing health and social inequalities, and conducting and translating research into practice using co-production methodologies.

Her previous work spans surveillance, health promotion & research management in local (CNWL Trust), national (PHE, HQIP, NHS England), and international projects and organisations (WHO, ECDC, UNAIDS).

Melvina oversees the research management of SEQUENCE Digital and provides expertise in working with our broad range of stakeholders to increase the impact of our research for the benefit of individual community members. This includes working with patients, potential patients, and members of the public and supporting the research team to embed an inclusive approach to research design, delivery and dissemination.

Melvina is also Trustee of the Race Equality Foundation and a Fellow of the RSA.
