Prof. Andrew Copas

Director of the Centre for Pragmatic Global Health Trials

Andrew is Professor of Trials in Global Health jointly in the Institute for Global Health and the MRC Clinical Trials Unit at University College London. He is also the Director of the Centre for Pragmatic Global Health Trials. Andrew provides statistical oversight for SEQUENCE Digital, and has a research interest in trial design, particularly cluster randomised trials. Alongside involvement in several trials, Andrew also provides statistical oversight for the Natsal British national sexual behaviour survey and important COVID-19 research including the Vivaldi study in English care homes, Viruswatch and the COG-HOCI study of hospital acquired infection.
